AED program goes National
The National PAL held their annual Convention/Conference this year in Palm Springs California from May 31st-June 5th. At the convention Nassau County PAL was afforded the opportunity to share our AED program with other PAL chapters throughout the country. John and Karen Acompora gave lectures on the need for an AED program along with showing videos of their success stories involving lives saved using the AEDs. A vendors booth was also set up where information was distributed to anyone who was unable to attend the lectures. All told it was a real success with many chapters expressing interest in bringing this life-saving program to their children. We at the Nassau County PAL are proud to own the distinction of being the first sports organization nationwide to voluntarily implement such a program and are even prouder to be able to lead the way to help others follow in our footsteps.
