Attend every practice and game that you can and notify your coach when you cannot.

Do your best to listen and learn from coaches.

Treat your coaches, other players, officials, and fans with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or abilities and expect to be treated accordingly.

Have fun during your PAL experience and tell your parents or coaches if it stops being fun.

Encourage your parents to be involved with your activity in some capacity because it is important to you.

Do your best in school.

Remember that your participation in PAL is an opportunity to learn and have fun.

Code of Ethics for Parents

Encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sports event.

Place the emotional and physical well being of your child ahead of a personal desire to win.
Insist that your child play in a safe and healthy environment.

Require that your child’s coach be trained in the responsibilities of being a youth sports coach and that the coach upholds the Coaches’ Code of Ethics.

Support coaches and officials working with your child in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.

Demand a sports environment for your child that is free from drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and refrain from their use at all sports events.

Remember that the game is for the youths, not the adults.

Do your best to make youth sports fun for your child.

Ask your child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, sex creed, or ability.
